As a critical observer of modern culture, Agnieszka Bastrzyk is angry. Due to this frustration, the work "Collection of Polish Billi's" was created. It's a collection of drawings, which evoke images of public figures expressing their pathological opinions. Their opinions are full of gender, misogynistic stereotypes, they try to stop the motor of social change and to maintain a unfair for feminine order. In the artist's eyes, the faces of celebrities of this infamous collection of anti-stars become symbols of a certain worldview, building a reality in which a woman is a subordinate being subject, deprived of the rights of self-determination. The use of the jocular word "Billy" (polish Janusz) in the context of opinion-forming, public personalities underlines the bizarre nature of their statements. In colloquial language, this name defines a person who is ignorant, short-sighted and who do not know the principles of culture. Unfortunately, the distinctions awarded at the exhibition have the power of influence a mass of people. It's very annoying!
